As your County Councillor I am responsible for representing your views at Lincolnshire County Council and assisting you with any queries or local issues.
I have been the elected County Councillor for Hough Division since 2017, representing 18 villages including Long Bennington, and I am the youngest serving member of the Council.
As your representative at County Hall I work with our Parish Council to ensure your views are heard and lobby for the improvements our village needs. I have supported the Parish Council and worked with colleagues at the County Council on the following key issues in Long Bennington:
- Develop plans for a Flood Alleviation Scheme for Long Bennington due for work in 2021/22
- Resolve issues of HGV Parking and road safety by developing plans for the north end of Main Street, due for public consultation in 2021.
- Secure Highways monies to complete the Zebra Crossing outside Long Bennington School, completed in 2018.
Roads and pavements are the issue I receive the most correspondence about. We are investing £40m this year on an extensive repair programme for Lincolnshire's roads, and this includes a number of local surface dressing and patching schemes. You can help our efforts to maintain the Highway by reporting defects such as potholes using www.fixmystreet.com or emailing CSCHighways@lincolnshire.gov.uk. For any outstanding Highways reports you have made and haven’t received a response then please contact me directly so I can chase these.
I am always happy to hear from residents and assist with your concerns where I can. I can be contacted any time on email cllra.maughan@lincolnshire.gov.uk or mobile 07707060022.

Lincolnshire County Councillor for Hough Division
