The Environment Agency has created a new dedicated Flood Warning Area covering Long Bennington, called:
Isolated Properties and villages near the River Witham from Hougham to Claypole.
This is as a result of a better understanding of flood risk from the floods of 2023/24 and thanks to valuable feedback from residents.
This Flood Warning is now triggered from both Hougham and Foston Beck river gauges.
