War Memorial and Gardens
The Memorial Gardens are located on the corner of Main Road and Chrurch Street, oppposite the Methodist Church.
In 2011 the War Memorial was renovated, with granite inlays put in to allow all the names of the fallen to be read clearly. Further works to block pave the path were done in 2013, making the garnedns accessible to all.
Following a successful application in 2019 for a grant from InvestSK, a project to repair a wall in the Memorial Gardens has been completed. The wall had begun to bow in places; bricks were loose and broken, with the deterioration significantly affecting the appearance a safety of the wall. The repairs have been sympathetically completed and the wall looks much improved. Please visit the Memorial Gardens and enjoy this lovely space in our village.
